Go ahead and finish the rest of the rim. Detect the brightest area again on your reference picture. For those tiny curve lines, you need practice to have hand control. Don't get frustrated if you can't get it right. Use eraser to clean out the edges of the curve. Don't get frustrated. Pick up any highlight with sharp eraser and lay down some 4H on it, so it will have a tone.
